In contrast. Kano Stale had only 21. 590 in the same period under review. According to National Population Commission (2006). the population of Kaduna State was 6.1 million. In contrast, Kano State had a population of 9.4 million in the same period under review. From the two contrasting statistics, Kaduna State cannot be said to have inadequate number of school teachers although the inadequacy still exists.
